Louis Nguyen began his career in 2011 with hands-on construction work, gaining experience in demolition and renovation. His formal education in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto in 2012 provided a solid foundation for the business side of the industry.

From 2013 to 2015, he honed his expertise in project accounting and financial risk management while working for several firms. In 2015, he officially joined THT Properties, where he began building his client base with a $50,000 renovation project. Over the next few years, he expanded his work to include new construction, character retention builds, and subdivisions, helping homeowners with complex issues like occupancy permits.

In 2018, Louis took on a major investment, purchasing an 18-unit townhouse site in Abbotsford. This experience taught him about taking risks and building investor trust, which paid off when the project was sold in 2021-2023, yielding an 18% annual return on equity for investors. His involvement in a full-block land assembly in 2019-2020 inspired him to get his real estate trading license in 2020.

He then co-founded Costar Construction and, while pursuing his builder's license, managed a duplex project that won the 2024 Georgie Award for Best Multiplex Home Projects.

To date, in 2025, Louis has successfully entered Costar Construction into three new multiplex projects, with one already underway and two set to break ground in 2026. He is committed to pushing the standards for multiplex development in Vancouver, ensuring more liveable homes that meet the needs of real families needing multigenerational living solutions. He also focuses on providing education to both consumers and other builders and developers looking to grow in this new segment.
